He joined the pastoral staff full-time in 2008. Pastor Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology and a minor in Business Administration from Le Tourneau University. He is currently pursuing both a Masters of Arts and Religion and a Masters of Divinity in Evangelism thorugh Liberty University. Rob and his wife Emily have one child, Reagan.

Bert Christian - Pastor of Congregational Care & Outreach Ministries
As pastor of congregational care he oversees: Deacon Care Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Women on the Move for Christ, Faithbuilders Ministry, Baptism Ministry, Usher/Greeter Ministry, and the Welcome Center. As pastor of outreach he oversees: Missions, Basic Needs Ministry, Clowns for Christ, Visitation Ministries to Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Shut-Ins, and Guest Visitation Ministry.

Pastor Bert graduated from Albany High School in their last graduating class of 1966. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Army and has been on staff at Albany Baptist since 1998. He has a bachelor’s degree in individual studies from Columbia University and is working on a master’s degree in religion from Liberty University. Bert and his wife Sharon have three children: Catrina, Bret, and Travis. They also have four grandchildren.

Stephen Wintle - Pastor of Worship Ministries
As pastor of worship ministries he is responsible for overseeing the Celebration Ministry. His desire is to see the church body fall deeply in love with the Lord and then demonstrate that love freely before Him each time we come together corporately for worship.

He joined the pastoral staff full-time in 1996. Pastor Steve has an associate’s degree in jazz and contemporary music from the University of Maine in Augusta, a bachelor’s degree in saxophone performance from Cedarville University, and a master’s degree in saxophone performance from Ohio University. Steve and his wife Janet have two children, Madison and Dylan.

Lance Booth - Director of Youth Ministries
In 2005, Lance Booth took on the part time responsibility of Director of Youth Ministries at Albany Baptist Church after attending here for several years.

Lance was born and raised in Sunbury, Ohio and at a later age accepted Christ as Savior and Lord during a youth outing in 1983. Lance has earn a Associate Degree in Recreation and Wildlife with a major in Equine Studies from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Lance's full time job is Coordinator of the Farrier Science &Business at Hocking College. Lance is married to his wife Jennie, and they have two girls Bri and Lauren.

Joe Gaston - Church Administrator
In this role, Joe manages the daily business aspects of the church and facilities. He has served in this capacity formally since 1998. He’s been at the church since 1959 and considers himself “privileged” to work in the church where he grew up. He added, “it means much more to me that I’m ministering where God wants me to be.”

In addition, Joe serves in the Celebration Ministry as a vocalist, and plays the piano and organ as well. He also supervises the kitchen staff for church dining events and special occasions.

He graduated from Alexander High School in 1977 and completed work toward his bachelor’s degree at Hocking College. Joe and his wife Pam have three children: Aaron, Jessica, and Gabriel (Isaac).
